This drawing recently won a "Merit Award" at the King's Mountain Southern Art Society show, "Gateways to the South". These were the comments of judge Seymour Simmons of Winthrop University: "I appreciate the confrontational placement on the page and the enjoyment that has evidently gone into the different patterns and details-cast shadows, picket fence, decaying "Dodge"lettering on the front. You sense the iron and steel being absorbed back into nature."
