- I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. I have done work in watercolor, oils, pastels, and collage, but my favorite medium is still graphite on paper. I love the simplicity of materials versus the complexity of creating a three-dimensional form using shading, space, and light.

This piece was done using a new technique (at least for me). I used first watercolor, then added detail using colored pencil.

I used a photo taken while passing through Virginia as the basis for this painting. I loved the simplicity of the white farm house against the beautiful summer greens and the blue rolling hills.
